First of all ‘Happy Hump Day’ – the weekend is almost in sight!!
Today I bring you a short review on a little miracle worker – Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Ultra Replenishing Lotion.
I picked this up on a whim as it was on offer in Boots for £2.43 (normally £3.65). I don’t really suffer from especially dry skin but I do get a little flare up on my legs from time to time and nothing seems to work that well – this lotion appealed to me as it contains shea butter which I love and had a lovely light sweet fragrance.
Of course, like many similar products, the bottle makes all kinds of claims, such as your ‘skin will feel intensely hydrated for up to 7 days after use – I have to admit I wasn’t really expecting that much of a difference but since I had bagged myself a bargain, I was happy to give it a go. Now for the science bit: the main moisturising ingredients in this body lotion are mineral oil, glycerin, palm oil, cetearyl alcohol and shea butter – these lotions and potions work nicely together to hydrate, protect and add oils to soften and replenish the skin.
The lotion itself is light, non-greasy and absorbs easily into the skin, it also didn’t leave me feeling sticky – below is a swatch of the cream on my hand.
Does this stuff actually work?? I can honestly say this is one of those lucky moments where you just pick up something randomly and it turns out to be amazing. The lotion sinks in quite quickly without any mess or tackiness, and it left my skin looking smoother and feeling super soft pretty much straight away. I have been using the lotion everyday for the past couple of weeks, not really because I need to, just because I love how it makes my skin feel. This product is a definite 10 out of 10 for me, its superb!!
Have you tried Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days for yourself yet? I’d be interested to hear about how other people got on with it.
Hope you enjoyed the review.
Until next time,
