Today I bring you the dreamy, gloriousness of Soleil Tan de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid in Sunkissed. This product was a little bit of a splurge for me and I have to say I came across it totally by accident whilst shopping in House of Fraser – I originally had my sights set on the Chanel Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base (it’s still on my wish list)
I really wanted to do a short review on the Soleil Tan de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid as spending that little bit extra money on a designer make-up brand can sometimes be quite a consideration and there are so many highlighters on the market, it’s a minefield!
What Chanel says: Sheer, weightless liquid instantly brightens skin and evens out skin tone. Light-reflecting pigments provide radiance and luminosity. Botanical extracts soften, smooth and moisturize. Oil free. Fragrance free.
How it looks/feels: The creamy liquid is a pearly gold color in the bottle, it looks quite thick but don’t be alarmed it blends easily into the skin. Feels as light as a feather!
What I like: I have never used a liquid highlighter before so I didn’t really know what to expect but the shimmer is subtle and warm, its gives a lovely natural healthy glow: I used it under my foundation but you can also dab on cheekbones and temples for a little lift, or mix with body moisturizer for a full-blown golden glow. The bottle is quite big (30ml) so I would say you are getting value for your £32 spend and because you only have to use a little it does stretch a long way.
What I don’t like: The only issue I have with this product is that it comes without a pump, you have to tip the product from the bottle which can sometimes end in tipping out too much.
From what I’ve read online there are real mixed reviews of this product, but I LOVE it!! It is a lot more expensive than your high street brands but I say splurge and enjoy a real treat!
I hope you all enjoyed the review and I’d love to know your thoughts on this product. Have you ever used it? Have you found a great cheaper alternative?
Until next time,
